Under the arcades of Rue Sainte-Claire, Le Freti has been serving fondue since 1974. This isn’t a pizzeria that also does fondue in winter — it’s the other way round: a specialist that built its entire menu around the dish. Sixteen recipes, from the classic Savoyard blend to more elaborate versions, made with farmhouse cheeses rather than industrial blends.
What to order
Fondue is the obvious choice, but the menu goes further: raclette, charcuterie boards, Savoyard salads for anyone who doesn’t want to finish the meal flat on their back. Reviews keep returning to the same points: generous portions, ingredients with real flavour, and service that holds up even on a packed Friday night.
