The cookies we set

The site uses Microsoft Clarity (audience measurement, heatmaps and anonymised session replay). It is the only thing that sets cookies here:

• _clck — an analytics identifier, kept for about one year;
• _clsk — groups the pages of a single visit, kept for about one day.

No application session cookie, no advertising cookie, no retargeting. These cookies are used only to understand how the site is used, never to identify you or resell your data.

How to refuse them

Clarity honours your browser's “Do Not Track” signal: if it is on, no data is collected. You can also block these cookies in your browser settings or with a blocking extension. The site stays fully functional without them.

Local storage

Apart from those cookies, the site writes nothing to localStorage or sessionStorage. The active tab on the lake map and the contents of the search field live in memory for the length of your visit, and disappear with the tab.

Outbound links

The “get directions” links open Google Maps. Tracking then begins at Google, on that third-party site, not here — but it does begin, which is why those links are never triggered automatically.
